"Opinion: Special Lure Modules as they are now are bad for the game"

#PokemonGO: For 200 coins a pop they feel like a ripoff. Why should the average player waste 4 days worth of Gym coins for 30 minute access to a couple of evolutions? You can always coordinate with players in your community to throw "Lure Parties," but these acts of generosity shouldn't be necessary in the first place. It doesn't even make sense for generous players to drop special lures on Community days, since they'd lower the chances of coming across the featured Pokemon of the day.Gating off Pokemon behind a premium buy-in seems greedy, especially when all of them besides Magnezone and Glaceon are just Pokedex-fillers. Every other evolution method is achievable through normal gameplay. Even Meltan, who was blatantly an advertisement for a Switch game, is catchable and technically evolvable without ever touching a Switch.Maybe if the Premium Lures got discounted in larger amounts, or if they got bundled in boxes, then they'd arguably be worth a buy. I also realize that Niantic confirmed that special lures would be eventually included as freebies for certain events, but until then the items are just a money-making tool to milk eager completionists. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2y0bsmz
