#PokemonGO: Niantic community managers have said in interviews that they check Reddit frequently. But I don't believe that the weekly improvement threads get the traction and attention they need to get Niantic's attention. I think if there were a list on this subreddit of all of the complaints, ideas and quality of life changes stickied, we might be able to bring about more change. I've been lurking on r/TheSilphRoad, r/PokemonGo and my local discord for the past few months, taking notes and I have compiled this list.Work in progress.QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGESBeing able to call Pokemon back from gyms.Being able to keep track of daily catch & Pokestop streaks.Being able to transfer unwanted eggs to make room for more.Being able to download maps and models offline for smoother gameplay and less data usage.Increasing daily gift limits, and increasing gift storage to 20.Guaranteed gifts from pokestops if you dont have max gifts in inventory.Being able to spin pokestops for research and XP even if inventory is full.Changing evolution items so they dont count towards bag limit.Increase the special trade cap, or change it so that it's once per player per day.Add a timer to team rocket stops, or make them spawn on the hour so players have a way of knowing when they will despawn.Being able to use items such as starpiece, potions or lucky eggs on Team Rocket pre-battle page.Make Mythical pokemon from special research guaranteed 100% IVs. Players only have one chance to get them and they can't be traded or improved, therefore they should be the best that they can be.Increased candy from transferring evolved pokemon or lucky pokemon.Being able to revive an entire party/team with one button press to reduce raid downtime.Being able to set a maximum threshold per item in the inventory. If a player spins a stop and goes over that limit, it will auto discard the item for them.Add a filter or prioritization system for nearby pokemon. Players wanting a specific pokemon shouldn't miss the chance to find one because its drowned out by countless Sentret and Ratatta.Add a second infinite incubator, or increase the current one to super incubator. This could be rewarded for getting the gold egg badge, or possibly once a player reaches the max trainer level.REWORKS OF EXISTING FEATURESMore control over what moves a pokemon gets from TM's.Allow private raid parties to "Ready Up" and skip the timer.Add a function to raids where players can tick an "I'm interested" box. Any players who click on a raid boss will see how many players have ticked this box.Add a pre-lobby to raids so that players can form a lobby without wasting a pass. This could add a visual distinction on the overworld, broadcasting to other players that they are sitting at the raid waiting for teammates so they can start.Change EX raid passes so that they are awarded for the same timeframe you complete the original raid at, or alternatively make them last all day and you go at your own leisure.Add additional rewards for gym defending. Players could receive TMs, rare candies or max revives/potions after hitting the daily coin cap.Make weather more varied/accurate. Windy and foggy weather are extremely rare and spawn some of the better pokemon types. In-game weather rarely updates with actual weather, likely because Accuweather isnt accurate.Change the geography of the overworld to reflect biomes such as beaches, deserts, forests, etc. The overworld is either acid green, dark green or blue. No variation and it needs an overhaul.Bring back biomes with pokemon spawning more frequently in appropriate areas.Completely rework pokemon spawning system by pulling updated user data to fix dead areas with no spawns while also adjusting spawn rarities to better balance the absurdly rare and annoyingly common spawns.Add evolved forms back into the spawn pool.Trim down the egg pool pokemon. The egg pools are so inflated and rarity so skewed that even hundreds of eggs later, you probably wont get all pokemon in that egg group, especially the rare ones: >- 2km eggs could have mostly starters and "flavor of the month" pokemon that rotate for events. >- 5km eggs could have mostly uncommon pokemon and "flavor of the month" pokemon that are in upcoming community days. >- 7km eggs could have mostly baby pokemon with regionals that rotate every so often. >- 10km eggs could have mostly rare pokemon and pseudo-legendaries and "flavor of the month" pokemon that are effective in upcoming raids.Allow kid's accounts to get gifts and 7km eggs from other sources, because those players cant add friends.Rework the trading system to would allow long distance trading between ultra or best friends. Plenty of players make friends at raids and have no way of communicating to make trades. If a friendship goes lucky theres a chance you might not be able to make the trade.Change rarity of Sinnoh Stones and Unova Stones. Because Sinnoh stones can be earned through battling, it should be removed from weekly rewards and the Unova stone should become a guaranteed reward from weekly.USER INTERFACE IMPROVEMENTAdd a scroll wheel to the friends listAdd the ability to swipe between friends without having to back out to the main listAdd comprehensive information on the main friends list, so players can see if they have already sent a gift and if a friend has opened a gift.Add the ability to mass send or open gifts.Add an indicator on the main HUD showing if you have unincubated eggs.Add an entry on each pokemon showing their level. The only way to currently see a pokemon's level is by using a third party app. The higher levels are so close together on the CP bar that it's hard to tell if, for instance a pokemon is level 35 or 37.Add a notification hub.Re-implement the 3 step counter for Pokemon in the wildBUG FIXES / OPTIMIZATIONRe-implement 60 FPS.Optimize the UI so it is smoother.Adventure sync doesn't count steps or is inaccurate.Game crashes on iOS.Game gives a "Pokemon GO has stopped" message on Android, but doesnt actually close the app or appear to have issues after closing the message.Raid timer is inaccurate, starting up to 10 seconds late and ending up to 10 seconds early.Pokeball plus, Go-tcha, Go plus are currently broken.Remove dead spots on overworld map. The empty spaces between the nearby, profile and menu buttons have a lot of dead zones that make tapping pokemon impossible.Save Music and Sound Effects settings between logins.Notifications cover essential UI buttons and cant be dismissed, preventing UI nevigation.Notifications tend to appear far too late to be relevant. A gym defender needing a berry but already being knocked off, for instance. -Reviving pokemon takes far too long, having to complete a laggy animation before allowing the next pokemon to be revived.False touches while scrolling through pokemon and friends means having to back out into the scroll list again, which resets it to the top and removes any typed filters.ADDITIONAL FEATURESA box system for organizing pokemon like in the main games. Filters worked well in the beginning but needs have become so diverse that a box system is necessary. Event pokemon, raid teams, pokemon for trades, pokemon that need moves TM'd, pokemon that need to be leveled up to a breakpoint, legendaries, etc.Levels higher than 40. At the very least 50 makes sense because pokemon level up twice per trainer level, so they could reach 100 like in the base game, with no more half levels.An item trade-up system, where players could trade 5:1 potions for super potion, or 3:1 revives for max revive, or even 3:1 evolution items for specific evolution item.A Pokemon Center system where players can revive up to 6 pokemon per day.A breeding system has been brought up many times but unsure of a balanced way to implement.Increased types of NPCs. Team Rocket is a good start, this would expand that idea by adding NPC trainers to fight for higher tier rewards such as silver pinaps, rare candy, lures or evolution items. Possibly have a coin reward like gyms, with a similar limit."Home Pokemon Stop." Players could designate their home as a pokestop that only they could see. The stop would spin at a much slower rate, say once per hour, but would give pokestop access to those in rural areas. Could also be lured to help rural spawns.A "Cycling Mode" where if players would trigger the "slow down" warning, instead of stopping egg distance and pokemon spawns, it just stops pokemon spawns so players can continue to hatch eggs, up to a reasonable speed. A bike could be added to the player model so it is obvious when pokemon wont spawn.That's what I've found so far.
