#PokemonGO: Update: Walked another few Kms and earned candy # 10.For context, this post here and this one here assert that a daily cap exists on buddy candy for a total distance covered 40 Km. Simply put, the limits* for each category are as follows.1 Km : 40 Candies.2 Km: 20 Candies.5 Km: 8 Candies.20 Km: 2 Candies.* the candy limit is noted to be higher during events that reduce buddy distance requirement. This is relative to the appropriate event multiplier.I participated in the Colossal Discovery event today, and we covered quite a bit of distance in the 6 hours we've played. I walked on foot and stayed in a moving vehicle throughout the course of my participation. We aimed to maximize egg hatches during this time, while gaining additional distance via Adventure Sync tracking on Google Fit.I took a screenshot each time I restarted my game to allow the syncing to commence. I am walking a Deino. I have obtained multiple candies per restart.First Sync: 26 Km. 5 Deino Candies earned.Second Sync: 21 Km. 4 Deino Candies earned.Third Sync: 5 Km. 1 Deino Candy.That is a total of 52 Km synced, for a total of 10 Deino Candies earned.This is two more than the assumed 8 Candies cap according to my search results.Furthermore - it is entirely possible that I have earned one more candy while the game stayed open, via the normal distance tracking mechanic. I do not however, recall this happening due to not being attentive.I cannot provide Journal Entry for the sole reason that the Journal does not keep a log of candy count. I will offer the very generic "My friend was there and has seen it happen." clause to support my claim.What I am looking for is a more current research on this mechanic. Or perhaps, someone will be able to redo the experiment.
