"This nonsense of telling people with legitimate concerns to "grow up" needs to stop."
I mean seriously, we're the ones that need to grow up because we're disappointed with a product? Sorry that we're not blinded by nostalgia and looking at this situation with rose-tinted glasses to pointlessly defend a company that has shown it doesn't care about the fans. Sorry that we're able to conduct a cost-benefit analysis and come to a conclusion that this game costs more for less content than any of its predecessors for the last decade. Granted, there are those that do. Like anyone who is threatening developers, but that is clearly a minority of those displeased with this game. What's funny is that (at least for me) we want to be kids again. We want to enjoy this game and feel like we did the first time we ever played. When I met my best friend, who is so close to me that we tell people we're cousins, the second thing he ever said to me was "I caught a Larvitar!" and I knew from that day we would get along. I want to go back to that. I've never been one for competitive battling, but I enjoyed the hell out of breeding various pokemon and raising them. I've never tried to catch every peokemon, but I treasured those that I did. I still have pokemon that have been with me since Emerald. It sucks that SwSh is not appealing to me and if you are excited for the game, I don't mean to cast any aspersions on you. But don't tell me to "grow up" because I'm not blindly loyal and have impulse control. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/34W8NZA
