"February CD Options: The Pros and Cons"

#PokemonGO: Since there's already some heated debate about this, I'm trying to compile a list of all arguments for and against each option for February's Community Day vote. Everyone has their own preference, but this should at least help people make an informed decision.Shiny Form GraphicSilph Straw PollAnother good breakdown of the optionsSilph Arena PvP DiscussionVulpix/Ninetales (Kanto and Alola) - Weather BallPROSFan favorite speciesDebut of shiny Kanto Vulpix, and potentially easier access to shiny Alolan VulpixBoth species are frequently relevant in Silph Arena, and Weather Ball is an amazing PvP move that would make them even betterCONSBoth forms are unviable as raiders, and Weather Ball won't save itShiny Alolan Vulpix is already availableOTHERSets a precedent for future Community Days for two-stage families and Alolan formsMachop/Machoke/Machamp - PaybackPROSStill a very solid Fighting-type raider, despite recent challengersEasy access to shiny MachopPayback could add to Machamp's PvP and gym-attacking coverageCONSShiny Machop is already availableNo longer the top Fighting-type raider, beaten out by Lucario and Conkeldurr, and a Dark-type move adds nothing to Machamp's raiding powerOTHERPayback does not yet exist in-game, it could be amazing or garbageMachamp is extremely relevant in Silph Arena's Rose Cup, but you may have to decide whether to evolve one now or wait until the 22ndSets a precedent for future Community Days for species with an already-released shiny form, such as Gible or TogepiRhyhorn/Rhydon/Rhyperior - Rock WreckerPROSGood raider with both Ground and Rock movesetsRock Wrecker could turn Rhyperior from a good raider to a great oneDebut of shiny RhyhornCONSNo matter how good Rock Wrecker is, it probably won't out-DPS RampardosAs an on-type move, does not grant additional coverage for PvP like Machamp or DragonityAs a three-stage family with a signature move, Rhyhorn is prime Community Day material, meaning even if it loses this vote it will probably come around againOTHERRock Wrecker does not yet exist in-game, it could be amazing or garbage (remember Synchronize?)Rhyperior is very relevant in Silph Arena's Rose Cup, but you may have to decide whether to evolve one now or wait until the 22ndContinues the precedent of Community Days for species with three-stage families and an unreleased shinyDratini/Dragonair/Dragonite - SuperpowerPROSStill a very-okay Dragon-type raiderThe last Dratini Community Day was two years ago, so many newer players missed outSuperpower could add to Dragonite's PvP coverageCONSWe already did a Dratini Community day, and shiny Dratini is already availableNo longer the top Dragon-type raider, beaten out by many species such as Rayquaza and Salamence, and a Fighting-type move adds nothing to Dragonite's raiding powerOTHERSets a precedent for repeat species from past Community Days via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2veHo8S
