#PokemonGO: When the game originally came out, I began playing with my girlfriend at the time and it brought us closer together. It was a dark time in my life and she helped pull me out of thoughts of suicide. We quit playing in time, and shortly after proposing to her she cheated on me and indirectly I had to put my career path on hold for two years after the guy she cheated on me with tricked me by the guy into smoking THC oil out of a vape pen.Feeling crappy about everything, I left, and found myself in a relationship that turned verbally and emotionally abusive, which also fell apart. This all took place over 5 years. Feeling lost, upset, severely damaged self esteem, and that the world was against me for months, I started a new semester. I decided to start playing again after 3 years or so since campus is a hotspot and it gave me something to take my mind off everything that's happened. Second day of class, I see a woman sitting on the floor swiping furiously at her phone screen. I ask her "Are you taking my gym?" And the rest is history. She's helped me put myself back together, reminded me I'm worth more than I've been told, constantly makes me laugh and smile, and has become my best friend.
