"GBL Bug: Opponent used 4 shields in a single match."

#PokemonGO: Don't have a video sadly.I was battling against an opponent using an A. Raichu, Registeel, and Azumarill. Our two A. Raichu were going head to head, and they didn't shield the first two charge moves, but then shielded against the next two (I used both my shields and lost the tie for the third move).Thinking I'd be able to handle the rest of the match just fine against their Registeel without shields, but when I glanced at the top, both shield icons were full, and the enemy player utilized both shields to win the match.Has anyone encountered something like this before?
