"Pokemon events don't make alot of sense"

We all know how events work you get a code, put the code in, and talk to the delivery man to get your pokemon, but something I thought about is how does the delivery man get these very rare pokemon. An example of this is with Marshadow its pokedex entrie say its VERY EXISTENCE is said to be a myth but somehow the delivery man just mindlessly gets his hands on the pokemon another example is the shiny lunala and solgaleo event these pokemon are said to be from ANOTHER WORLD and the delivery man just somehow has the pokemon.
