"Instead of remakes why not just new games set in past regions."

I would totally be down for a trip back to Kanto or Johto again if it wasn't another rehash of the previous games. Wouldn't it be cool to visit these regions with a different story? They could pull a BW 2 and set it years later update the region, new gym leaders or even new gyms in different cities and elite four. Maybe even finally make a game where you're not a kid starting his journey. Know what I would love to see? A game where taking on the gyms and league is treated like an optional side quest to whatever the main story is. Also would be cool to see variants of newer pokemon into past regions so instead of an Alolan Marowak you get something like a kantonian Hawlucha or whatever, can say it's due to travelers bring in species from other regions and adapting or something. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/384o0Lc
