"Allow us to let our own Pokémon battle against each other! - What are some other game mechanics GameFreak should (but obviously won't) add in?"

So I was doing my second playthrough of Sword and Shield and I'm currently training a Riolu, whom as you all know needs to have high friendship to evolve! It got me thinking, that they should introduce a mechanic where we can have Pokemon battles with our own team members, like how Ash trains with his own Pokemon in the anime! They'll be a great way to test out moves and everything and it could allow each Pokemon to gain some small experience points. Especially in SwSh with the camping feature, it could be an extremely awesome Integration and new feature. you could obviously call out moves for each side and test out new strategies and everything!What are your thoughts?
