If you think about it almost everything in Gen VII was shown in trailers.Most pokémon, features (some made sense to show like the Rotom Dex and Ride pokémon), the evil teams as well. Nothing felt like a surprise.If they hid who could appear in the Battle Tree/Who runs the are, would've been an amazing surprise, or maybe not showing Sivally, the majority of the Ultra Beasts or all the Alolan Formes (besides Diglett and the Geodude family we saw all of them).​Ultra Sun and Moon had this effect as well. Personally with the Ultra Necrozma moment, it was amazing to see this new form and insane boss right then, but GF release a trailer a couple months after just waving it about.​I am definitely glad Gen VIII didn't have this major issue and most stuff was hidden to those who don't view leaks. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2XDqFY4
