"I just don't understand... Why do so many people around here hate on the SM show?"

First of all, the art style is seriously far better. In the older art styles, everything looked too traditionally anime-like. And yet, people still chose to complain about the art style as if the animators had committed crimes against humanity.People also say that there wasn't enough focus on battling. Well, you can't have 3 seasons of nothing but battling. I haven't really watched them, so how do they cram so many battles in there, and does anything happen besides battling? Then there's the pacing. I enjoyed the filler episodes, too. Every episode was enjoyable, even if it didn't tie into some greater story arc. The way people said it, there was no filler in the other generations. Shouldn't they have been like a season long each, then? How are there multiple seasons of XY without lots of filler? Additionally, the arcs are well-paced so that not too much time is really required to get through one, and it's feasible to complete a story arc in one sitting.Lastly, the friends. How did Ash manage with two friends in gens 1-6? Wouldn't fans get bored of two companions pretty quickly? No amount of gradual character development can shake off the inevitable slowness that ensues, so, rather ingeniously, SM introduces many friends along the way to take the spotlight, and that way nobody will ever be bored watching the same person change slowly.Uh... That's basically it. Those are the points I wanted to make after reading some pretty hateful posts and comments that I disagreed with. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3cXopRS
