"New Evolutions for Old Pokémon?"

Ok so between all seven generations of Pokémon that followed the first, only Gens 2 and 4 really introduced a sizable amount of new evolutions for older Pokémon. Now I think Alolan forms did a great job of breathing new life into old Pokémon, and Galarian Forms definitely built on that by giving some of those forms their own evolutions, but I’d love to see some new evolutions of older Pokémon given to us in the traditional way. No regional forms, just the original Pokémon getting a new evolution.I mean, look at Farfetch’d. It got a great new typing and Sirfetch’d is definitely a cool Pokémon, but the original Farfetch’d will always remain useless. It probably won’t ever get a new evolution now like people had been begging for for years.I honestly don’t understand why they stopped introducing new evolutions for older Pokémon.
