Many people complain about Unova's late evolutions, and sure, some should evolve a little earlier. But Unova and Hoenn's late evolutions allow more time to spend with Pokemon before they evolve. For example in B/W and ORAS, the starters will reach their final stage after the sixth gym without overleveling since Skyla's and Winona's highest level Pokemon are Level 35, and they evolve at Level 36. In Sword and Shield, the starters reach their final stage at the fourth gym. For a non starter Pokemon, in B/W, Krokorok evolves into Krookodile after the seventh gym without overleveling, because Brycen's highest level Pokemon is Level 39 and Krokorok evolves at Level 40, while in XY and Sword and Shield, it'll be a Krookodile at the sixth gym. Whismur is also not fully evolved until Level 40, which is just before the seventh gym in ORAS, and you can get it before the first gym, and evolves into Loudred at the third. Sure, like I said, I think that some mons should evolve a little earlier, such as Deino, Larvesta, Pawniard, Rufflet, Vullaby, and Mienfoo, but overall, I do like later evolutions. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3d51F45
