#PokemonGO: So, I knew from playing the game boy game that you’d need to evolve Eevee into Sylveon by maxing out their love for you. Trying to get ahead of the game and prepare for whenever Sylveon decided to finally come, I’d maxed out 8 Eevee’s to Best Buddy status. Only to find out (quoting straight from the Niantic support chat): “The previous stats will not be counted for this event. You'll have to get hearts once the Sylveon event was started. You will be able to see the Silhouette of a Sylveon on the Evolve option. If it is showing any other evolution, it means that you haven't met the conditions.” Not only that, but after I’d started working on obtaining 70 hearts for Eevee AGAIN, I was about to just cycle through all Eevee’s and crunch it all in in a few days or so. Good thing I didn’t! Because (another quote straight from Niantic support chat): “You'll have to earn Hearts without switching the buddy Pokémon. Yes, it should be consecutive.
