"Elite 4 Karen's Deal"

Okay, so for years and years I always wondered what could be the origin for Karen's name in pokemon. I looked it up on Bulbapedia and it says her name is the last 5 letters of the word Darken which is the weakest reasoning for a name I've ever heard. (If you know more Pokemon names with bad reasonings please let me know lmao)But you know what Karen's name sounds like? Charon. The the ferryman of Hades who brought souls down the River of Styx!
