"Arcanine Appreciation Post"

One of the most random facts I will always remember about Pokémon is that Arcanine has the highest base stat total of any non-legendary that doesn’t have an ability that hinders its effective stat total.I remember this fact from Gen 3. Slaking’s 670 BST was insurmountable, but thanks to Truant, it really wasn’t a base 670 Pokémon. I remember Archeops getting introduced with its superior stat total, but thanks to Defeatist, Arcanine still kept its illustrious status.Now, over 15 years later, I think it is so amazing that a Pokémon from Gen 1 still holds that title.Shoutout to the most legendary Pokémon of all.Edit: forgot to mention that pseudos are excluded as well! via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3o28F7P
