I think if you faint a wild Pokémon you should get a chance to throw a ball at it, and if it fails, the Pokémon get up and run away. Kinda like going into Pokémon Dens. I think it would be a nice mechanic in case someone accidentally faints a Pokémon they were trying to catch.
