"How do people feel about BDSP's Following Pokemon feature?"

TLDR; I think BDSP's follow Pokémon is significantly better than Sword and Shield (DLC), but still not as good as Heartgold/Soulsilver.I like that in BDSP when you talk to your Pokémon there is a variety of text for speaking/interacting with them multiple times, and sometimes they will also do an animation. It's much better than Sword/Shield where you interact with the follow Pokémon and they just do their cry.I liked that the Pokémon still followed you even though you are on your bike. I also appreciate the "walk with" option where you don't have to walk with the very first Pokémon in your party. However, Heartgold/Soulsilver was better where Pokémon followed you from the start of your adventure. The Pokemon also would continue walking with you when you enter houses if they weren't a large Pokémon/ big legendary. Whereas in BDSP the second you enter a building, even the small Pokémon stop walking with you.Furthermore, even though I like follow Pokémon, I think having it attached to affection buffs in BDSP is disappointing - surely they could've had a setting where you can turn off affection buffs (the critical hits, survive 1HP, get rid of status effect like poison etc.) but still gain friendship with Pokémon. What do you guys think? via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3IbsBgj
