"Forget the distortion world, amity Square in BDSP is a realistic version of hell"

I just want to get some cool berries for poffins, so I look up what the best berries to use are and it turns out some of them get given to you by pokemon in amity Square. Sounds fun right?Well to begin with, I need a "cute" pokemon, which for whatever reason is the most bizzare specific list of pokemon I have seen ever. shroomish? Torterra? If, for the love of arceus torterra is considered cute why not just allow everything into the park? It's not like you don't have a bunch of awful following animations to support that.Oh well, we'll go for a lovely stroll around this mostly barren landscape for the sole purpose of grabbing some rare berrries. Shouldn't be too difficult - I know I get an item every 200 steps or so and I can check how many steps I've done with the handy poketch app right?Poketch is disabled within amity Square, along with save?? And bag???? So I can't even look at the shiny new items I might be getting?Oh whatever I can just figure out roughly how far within the park 200 steps is and then chat to torterra for some goodies. So I run 200 steps around this excuse of a park with torterra bounding joyously at my side. At least I would be if torterra was faster than a literal pile of mud and I wasn't desperately spamming the button on it's pokeball to return it with every half step I take. I do this for around 20 minutes with no result whatsoever, I must be doing something wrong.I do some reddit digging and the consensus seems to be that the game seems to only count steps with your pokemon actively walking those steps with you so I would have to crawl along at the same dismal speed as Mr lumbering ground turtle to have any chance at getting an item. This wasn't going to cut it.10 minutes later and I'm back at the square with a bunch of pachirisu and a drifloon, hop on inside and there's an immediate difference. I'm swiping berries left and right and I'm loving it. With my Berry hoard complete I swagger over to the park exit, only for my game to crash instantly because it couldn't handle 5 pachirisu returning to their balls at once.Thanks ILCA via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3Dq91Jx
