I just had the duel of my life on my first try for champion. I've turned up my TV volume because the soundtrack is a banger. Mostly trading pokemon the whole way through with a really long standoff between her recovering tanky Milotic and my Charged Luxray in the middle. Then her Lucario wrecks most of my remaining team and it's down to my Togekiss and her Garchomp.I was so emotionally invested in this battle, it had lasted probably 30 minutes and had had its high points and low points. And all I had left was a togekiss that I had raised for this specific moment, to deal with garchomp. I didn't even care if I won or lost, I was actually looking forward to the rematch.I full restore togekiss, and garchomp busts out the surprise (to me) poison jab, which 2hkos togekiss. Gg wp, see you on my next try. .But wait, togekiss doesn't want me to be sad, so he toughs it out. TWICE in a row on poison jabs that should have easily KO'd him. This togekiss only barely has the friendship level needed to level up from a togepi and is resisting the most powerful main game enemy because of love. Is this Harry Potter?I'm champion. Hooray.
