"For a classic Pokemon Geodude has a bizarre evolution line"

First I have a question. Can Geodude fly/levitate? I used one in my playthrough of BDSP and in all the battle scenes it was hovering. It seems to do that in GO as well. The anime made it confusing. I distinctly remember Brocks Geodudes first appearance trying to snatch Pidgeotto out of the sky by hovering after it. Then sometimes it can't fly and just lays on the ground. It has no legs so it either has to hop around or use its arms like legs. I'm assuming it can't float at all and it was just a animation choice to have it move like that.Geodude evolves into Graveler. Graveler gets two extra set of limbs. Now it has four arms like Machamp, and new sturdy legs so it can walk if it wants. Usually it rolls around since its a boulderGraveler evolves into Golem (one of my favorite pokemon) and goes from a sentient boulder to a weird turtle with a stone shell. Its whole face and head transforms. Its like the geode that Geodude is named after evolved inside and pushed out a turtle head. It loses a set of arms. It has two arms and two legs but Golem is a 3 digit creature. It loses fingers and toes in the process of evolving. It evolved in some senses but parts of it seemed like a step backwards in evolution based on Gravlers design.I know a lot of evolutions are diverse but the original 150 for the most part seemed consistent or at least had an animal or lore logic as to why it could be different. I just dont get why graveler gets 2 more arms just for golem to lose them. Conclusion - Geodude is the Pinocchio of Pokemon. Instead of a puppet who wants to be a real boy Geodude is a rock who wants to be a real animal/turtle. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/0YbJcML
