"Are BD/SP the worst/most forgettable titles Pokémon have ever released?"

I've never seen a Pokémon get almost unanimously sh*t on and then forgotten about the way these games did. There's hundreds of YouTube videos showcasing game's glitches and massive flaws. Granted, I played Gens 1-3 as they were released and wasn't really paying attention to Pokémon from Gens 4-7, only got back in to Pokemon about a year before SwSh (because I discovered rom hacks/fangames).But was the community that quick to dump any games from Gens 4-7?
