"A better mascot than Pikachu?"

I know we’re all used to see the little yellow mouse creature plastered around everyone, and he does his job well. Pikachu and the Pokémon logo are basically interchangeable and people make connections immediately, to Ash and the anime as well.Assuming that it has the same nostalgic feel as a gen 1 Pokémon had to many people, regardless of what generation it’s from; What Pokémon do you think could have that role instead of Pikachu?I’ve thought about Eevee, but I think the colors are too dull. I think it needs a fairly simple but cool design, eye-catching colors, catchy name, and some loosely defined ‘character’.
