"What ground type Pokémon would be an ideal mascot type Pokémon?"

If a ground type Pokémon was given the same attention and marketing as say Pikachu Charizard or Gengar which one or multiple ground type would be successful. Off the top of my head popular ground type are sandshrew flygon, quagsire clodsire steelix and cubone. Personal favorites of mine are Excadrill and Golem but I don’t know how anyone else feels about them. Are there any I’m missing?
