"Has Dynamax killed strategy in competitive battling?"

My main talking point here is an example I just faced - Liepard vs Turtonator, I know he’s going to shell smash, so I hit him with an encore. Before dynamax that would be GG, but now you can just buff away and then dynamax and sweep. What’s the point of encore anymore?
