"After catching my 2000th Pokemon, I decided to see how much XP I would have if they were all Pidgeys"

#PokemonGO: This is mostly just to satisfy my curiosity, but it might also be useful to people who are planning a power-leveling binge.Catching 2000 Pidgeys without any bonuses yields 100 xp each, with the very first Pidgey granting a new Pokemon bonus of 500. That gets us to 200,500 xp.Since you get 3 candy per Pidgey caught, you'll have 6000 Pidgey Candy at this point. Transfering 1271 Pidgeys will give you a total of 7271 Pidgey Candy, leaving you with 727 Pidgeys to evolve and 2 spares. If you activate a Lucky Egg exclusively for the Evolutions and then transfer 100% of your Pidgeottos in between, you will be able to finish all 727 Evolutions in 10.85 Lucky Eggs, which is 5.425 HOURS of watching Evolution animations. At 1000 xp each, you'll have 727,000 xp from evolving Pidgeys. And another 1000 xp from the new Pokemon bonus for Pidgeotto with a Lucky Egg.By the time you're done, you'll have 928,000 xp in total, which will get you just barely into level 26 per this link:http://ift.tt/2b3S7rG in 2000 Pokestop swipes (assuming 2 Pokeballs used per Pidgey and 2 Pokeballs per stop) gets you another 100,000 xp, but keeps you at level 26 with 1,028,000 xp total.Since I'll be at around 850,000 total XP once I evolve my current stock, it turns out that I'm 18% less efficient than our hypothetical Pidgey-obsessed madman.PS: If you want to know what would happen if they were all Great throws, add in 100k xp. Excellent would be 200k more, and all curves would be 20k xp added. With curved Excellent throws each time, you'd be halfway into level 27 with 1,250,500 total XP.Edit1: Adding in the 100xp bonus for each 100 Pidgeys grants another 2k xp.Edit2: Added 1000xp for new Pokemon bonus for Pidgeotto with lucky egg on.TLDR: 2000 Pidgeys = 1 Million XP via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2bA69y3
