"I think it's time for Lures/Incubators to be rare Pokestop rewards now."
#PokemonGO: So a lot of us have been playing this game for a while. When we started out, levelling wasn't too difficult, and the cool rewards we'd get every 5 levels was pretty awesome. We could hatch more than one egg at a time, set up a lure and attract other players, etc. And because there were a lot of players earning lures on those 5th levels, a lured pokestop was a fairly common sight. But now, things have slowed down. Surely there are still some new players, but not nearly as many. Those of us who have grinded out XP may have something like a month before we reasonably hit level 25 or even longer for that push to level 30. Therefore, there are a lot less lures out there that aren't just purchased. And we need more lure action in non-big city places! The park I go to? 18 viable pokestops and 3 gyms, but maybe 3-6 pokemon to be caught at any given time. Now there are 3 pokestops close to each other that are great for some triple lure action, but I never see anyone luring them up anymore. And I'm sure not going to sit there and spend $5 an hour (3 lures per 30 minutes) by myself to have a decent spawn rate out there. And even then, it wouldn't stand up to certain places where you can be within 4-5 pokestop ranges at once. Now if my trips around the park could actually earn some lures? Yeah I'd light up some of those stops myself. And getting some incubators would be nice too, because going for a walk just to hatch eggs doesn't feel worthwhile when it's one egg at a time. And when you're out here in suburban areas like me? We don't get the greatest amount of variety out here in addition to the general low spawn rate, so hatching eggs has been my only real way to up my pokedex count.Edit: I wanted to clarify something here. This post isn't so much a "give me free stuff" type thread that's just begging for items because I'm lazy. Lures are actually a wonderful part of this game where players gather and socialize around them, which is a major hook to this. When players notice there are three lures up and they go to that one spot and join their fellow trainers in catching and conversation, that's a great experience. And free-to-play games live and die on the business model that they offer that great experience and their players enjoy it and are incentivized to partake in some microtransactions for a game they love. And the way the game is now, we're not getting that so much. Rather than forcing us to buy lures to get that experience, Niantic should provide us with at least a couple of lures, encourage us to use them and gather, and watch their happy customers put a few bucks down on some pokecoins. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2b4Zc9H
