"I work in a Children's Hospital, Niantic just removed all Pokestops/Gyms from the whole hospital system"
#PokemonGO: So there was a gym and a Pokestop in the middle of the Children's Hospital and the kids loved it, it gave them something to do when they couldn't leave their beds. It allowed them to hang out with other children in the common areas and talk about Pokemon and battle with their teams for gym control. I would put down a lure every lunch for the kids and they would gather around the common room, it gave my staff something fun to talk about with them. Kids going through physical therapy walked all around the hospital system because there were about 6 stops, this extra motivation to walk helped progress their recovery time immensely. By completely removing these stops and the gym it actually made two kids cry this morning when I was doing rounds. Just an unfortunate thing to witness the mood difference between patients with PokemonGO and without it.Edit: It seems Niantic has received an overwhelming amount of requests to remove hospitals and my hospital's administration specifically requested it to be removed.TLDR: It seems hospital administration across the country, including mine, have been requesting Niantic to remove the stops, gyms, and even spawning of Pokemon (in some cases) from the hospitals. So I am not blaming Niantic, just unfortunate for the kids. However I can definitely see the reason for removing it, like I said just unfortunate. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2aBEts5
