"How would the meta change if Electric types got a big damage boost?"

#PokemonGO: Back at the start of the game, Water types were even more overpowered than they currently are. The big thing was that Water Gun used to do 10 damage (it now does 6). I could solo an entire level 6 gym with only my Vaporeon because he crushed everything effortlessly.Water Gun was nerfed a bit, so I can't do that any more, but it's still stronger than Jolteon's move, Thunder Shock. As we know, Jolteon and the other Electric types could really use a boost. They should be strong in the current meta with all the water types on gyms, but they're now lagging behind. So I was thinking: what if Thunder Shock did a whole 10 damage? Niantic could change that pretty easily, and it would give Electric types a boost without having to totally rework battles and how CP is calculated by adding speed. Spark could get a boost too, and Thunder; there's no reason why Hydro Pump, the best water charge move, should be a lot stronger than Thunder. Never mind that, Thunder got buffed so it's above Hydro Pump in terms of damage. If Jolteon's Thunder Shock did 10 damage, or even 8, would that make him much more worthwhile? On par with Vaporeon now? Would he suddenly become an effective defender? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2cMi9BB
