"Pokemon GO : How Not To Lose Interest"

#PokemonGO: As much as Niantic has been at it, making changes, trying to make the game smoother, etc; it is a hard fact to digest that the game is losing interest. There has definitely been a huge dip in those who play. Most of that could be credited to the bandwagoners who hopped in just to catch on the hype train. Then there are those who broke the ToS and got banned and now there are players who rooted their phones for their needs and cannot play.Which basically leaves serious trainers with non-rooted phones.I can see a lot of these people losing interest just because their friends don't play anymore or just simply because they feel they are a minority in their respective areas and it would be better to find an excuse not to go out and play. Of course there could be a couple more reasons, but there is always an upside to things.Having thought about it for a few days, here I'd like to present to you my take on itPlay CasuallyI can understand the game being hours and hours of grind. But that does not mean you will lose your sanity over it. Play casually, when you are going to get grocery, or simply travelling. Eggs in incubators will urge you to walk a bit more eventually. Keep a daily goal of 5-10K XP and you will level up slow, but on a constant levelFind Other TrainersI can't tell you how important this has been for our community. Going out together, setting up Lure Modules, helping with data and making units to cover more area certainly helps to level up faster. Even better if they are from the same team as you. This will make taking gyms easier and less time consuming.A Real HeadstartMy Pokemon stay longer in gyms due to the lack of trainers here. It may not be the same everywhere, but the next few months will help you collect more coins and level up more. This means you will be having a headstart than other trainers who might decide to play again once new Pokemon are out and features implemented.Have Daily/Weekly GoalsThis is quite important to do. Catching 30 Pokemon, hatching 2 eggs, fighting 3 gyms and hitting 50 Pokestops is my daily goal. I plan to hit level 35 by this year end. And since I live in a tropical area, winters won't be that cold and I can probably catch up to those in US, Japan, Canada & Europe. Apologies if I am missing out on other countries, but all respect to those putting in the efforts! Those Mons Will ComeI am about to hit level 26 and without a lot of important Pokemon like Snorlax, Lapras, Arcanine, etc. I very recently got my first Dragonite when others had a quarter dozen of them. But I am sure everyone will stumble upon the ones they need eventually. Just a matter of time and patience. My Pokedex is at 122 but I am sure of completing it by this year's end no matter what.Hope this helps a few to pick up their phones again and go catch em all! Any more suggestions in the comments/replies below is really appreciated. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2cMY8ew
