"Challenges on Challenges"
#PokemonGO: Hi all, just your friendly neighborhood XP grinder. For those who don't know, I originally set out to hit level 40 by October 23rd, approximately 250k a day. I'll be hitting my goal level around 9PM Central Time tonight (Oct. 19th) on twitch - (you can follow my twitter to see when I go live). However, my original goal was not just to hit level 40 - it was also to track 500 miles for charity.Let it be known, due to a lot of variables, I ended up doing a 4-stop nights north of the Austin capitol and it caused me to put in a lot of hours in a bit more of a cozy setting (and cost effective) - something that quite contrasts walking 40 miles in a saturday pushing 101 degrees (who would do something that crazy!). This was not part of my original plan.I currently sit at 396 miles, about 20% short. In hopes to honor the challenge, I plan to stay true to my goal and log 104 additional miles in four days.I'll be using my Pokemon Go Plus, jogging before work, running some dratini/magikarp trails, because why the heck not?I know a lot of people think this is pointless / "why is he still sharing posts" -- but I wanted to send an honest message that to me, someone competitive -- the best way to enjoy the journey is to make challenges along the way.Even the dumbest things, like making a points game based on skillshots w/ your friends, walking your path backwards, whatever it may be - I encourage you to try and "change up" your routine to make it more enjoyable. For what it's worth, I'll be posting a math heavy post to crunch down a lot of the numbers I've tracked in my journey to 40, as that was part of my original intent in making the push (and all of this). via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2eEANLY
