"for those of you who don't know, 93k ptc accounts hacked yesterday"

#PokemonGO: /r/pokemongodev had a post in it yesterday with a download of 93k ptc accounts!!!!! they deleted the post fairly quickly, however that doesn't mean all were safe.I woke up this morning and I couldn't login because my pw was changed. I was able to reset it and change it though luckily. once I got in the only thing different that I noticed was that all of my injured pokemon had been healed and they wasted one of my incubators on a 2k egg (i guess they were assuming they were going to get to keep this account rather than trash it). needless to say I was exceptionally nervous though. I did receive some emails regarding changing the account pw as well as the email associated with it that I can s/s if needed. I guess I got on just in time to prevent this... although I don't know that i'm still safe.this is mostly just a warning to all others to either change your pw or keep an eye out on your account./EDIT thanks to /u/hawksfan86 for pointing out that what probably saved us was that our ptc accounts and our emails attached to them had DIFFERENT PASSWORDS! if your passwords are the same, they can easily swap your email to their own and your account is gone forever. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2dvMfbi
