"[PSA] Character precedence in Nicknames"
#PokemonGO: (Tested on Android, game version 0.39)For those interested in sorting their Pokémons in an optimized way for selecting before training/battling, the following characters are listed based on their in-game precedence level (highest to lowest, which means that when sorting by name (i.e. Name A-Z), the ones at the top will appear before the ones at the bottom):!#$%&*,.:?@_ (underscore)+digits (i.e. [0-9]) Let me know in the comments any other characters not listed above, but 14 levels is already overkill. I've applied these characters to divide my bubblestratters in two groups:attackers: # symbol followed by their quick move (e.g. Tangela CP 20 with Vine Whip becomes "#VineWhip")defenders: $ symbol followed by their HP and IV (if relevant) (e.g. Horsea CP 29 with 10 HP becomes "$10") These symbols themselves were chosen due to keyboard layout purposes and because I wanted my attackers to show up before my defenders (so that I can quickly select six of them for prestige training).Hope this helps anyone else! Let me know in the comments your "naming policy" and the reasons behind it. Feedback from the comments:'-' (hyphen) removed from the precedence list above (seems inconsistent);/u/dethpot8o correctly pointed out that adding hyphen as the Pokémon's name (i.e. "-", no other characters) puts it at the beginning of the list, when sorted by name;/u/joco1214 suggested putting the top defenders before anything else on the list to prevent snipers at gyms. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2dJ1hfT
