"Just more gyms PLEASE"

#PokemonGO: Having played Ingress for 18 months I could barely contain my excitement when Niantic released PoGo (and I'm still loving both games like no other btw). But one thing that's always confused/annoyed me is the scarcity of Gyms.In Ingress all of the PokeStops are also "Gyms" as well (imagine that!). What that means is that everyone (lower levels and weak teams too) get to enjoy the battling and strategies of Ingress much more than we do in PoGo. OK, I'm not suggesting that all of the PokeStops should be Gyms, but certainly a fair proportion should be imho. Why:Everyone gets to battle more (obvious right? less travel time, not just L10 permatowers dominating the landscape).Having more gyms would also mean we would get to play more of the whole "gym game". The tactics and strategies of building and holding gyms and territory is mega fun, and the only part of the game where it is human vs human. (Of course, this issue is related to the recent crappy prestiging nerf - anyone getting tired of life just being "quickies" in Lvl 1-3 gyms yet?) More gyms would help. There would be more opportunity for dust and coin. I know there's a trade off for Niantic in that coins equal real $ for them. But I think the coin impact for Niantic of having more gyms could be easily band aided (reduce coin rewards to 5/day after say day 3 in a Gym as just one thought). Most importantly, more gyms would help keep Pokemon Go a healthy, interesting game for newer players (and those not on the blue team haha) and I'm sure Niantic knows that's the only way to build a sustainable $ business for them.I don't envy Niantic, it can't be easy designing a game with so many interconnected parts (and vested interests!). Especially on the fly like this. But it's hard to see how having more Gyms would not be an improvement for this already great game. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/5c78j0/just_more_gyms_please/?utm_source=ifttt
