"Silph Road Travelers - When do YOU use an Ultra Ball?"

#PokemonGO: I'm curious about what approach other Travelers take when catching Pokemon. I think it's important to include Level, PokeDex completion, location (city vs rural is enough unless you wanna be specific!), and bag size. I'll start.Go, Walloftext!Level 30 Mystic142/143 PokeDex (desperately seeking another sighting of Farfetch'd and Kanghaskhan to hit /145.. only saw them before the PokeDex update) -- complete for the USASmall town player but frequent traveler to major cities1000 item bag size (frequently 900+ in hand)Ultra Balls - I am stockpiling these like a madman. I was down to zero a few weeks before the Halloween event, and I had to throw Great Balls at a 2500CP Dragonite. Never again! I will always throw an Ultra Ball at Snorlax, Dragonite, Exeggutor, Vaporeon, Arcanine, and, most definitely, Lapras (of which I only have one at a useless CP). If it's a good enough CP, I'll extend to Poliwrath, Slowbro, Victreebel, Vileplume, and Muk. For Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, I'll probably throw Ultra Balls if the CP is really good.. they have such a low catch rate, I don't like the idea of just throwing away balls. Put the lower evolutions of everyone mentioned above if they are Level 30 (hard to tell and guess by CP, but I'll use judgement) since it will save dust in the end! 100% Razz Berry before every throw. 212 at the moment.Great Balls - Stuff I want. Which, at this point, is mostly Eevees and the lower forms of all the guys listed above. I'll throw them at rare evolved forms (Cloyster, for example) but that's about it. Since I don't need anything for the PokeDex, if it's not contributing candies to one of my best defenders, I'm not wasting Great Balls. Great Balls are awesome and "under-valued", IMO. I try to stockpile them. Most likely a Razz Berry before each throw, just so I don't end up throwing out the Razz Berries.. I've probably trashed nearly 1000 since I started playing. It's a delicate balance, though, because I just know I'm going to run into Dragonite with 0 Razz Berries.. and he's a guy I've wasted 25-30 Razz Berries on in one go before! It's just hard to justify keeping a stockpile of Razz Berries, really. 140 at this moment.. only so low because I've caught 50+ Eevees this week with the increased spawns.PokeBalls - Everything and anything! ..except for Pidgeotto, Kakuna, Metapod, Butterfree, Beedril, Raticate, and Fearow. It's not worth the Balls to do so. The only thing stopping me from going after any other Pokemon with a PokeBall is time and situation. I won't stick around to catch a Pidgey when I could be moving, but if I'm sitting at home watching TV or stuck at a traffic light in the passenger seat (and there aren't any reasonable PokeStops coming up) I'll unload ball after ball just catching for the stardust. 106 at this moment, it's been awhile since I spun any stops but I'd expect this to get up to 140 when I get a full bag (which is just so easy this week!).What about YOU? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/5c2y3v/silph_road_travelers_when_do_you_use_an_ultra_ball/?utm_source=ifttt
