Got really excited to hear we'd be getting double candies.Was immediately disappointed to see very few pidgeys (war hoping for exp grind to 30 level)Initially my buddy was lapras(hatched 1 day before the event started :/ ) , but I changed it to dratini once I had enough lapras candiesI figured might as well go all out and catch as many dratinis as possible, so me and my friend went to this 2km stretch along to a lake which spawns dratinis from time to time.We stocked up on as many poke/ultra balls as we could everyday and then went to the lake for 2-4 hours.Now finding dratinis in a 2km strech isn't easy, so we allocated a 1.4 k.m. Distance to cover and split it amongst ourself.We patrolled along our halves and as soon as one of us would see a dratini, we would call the other one. Yes, we ended up missing some, but still caught more than we would have alone.I really like how this gamer incentivises cooperative play!!! The rush you get when you see a dratini and have to run around finding it is insane!I Really hope we get more events like this, every 3 months or so(different event concepts/spawns though)Thanks for the wonderful experience niantic! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2fdWNZS
