"Why PokeStops need to give out more items now; Supply vs Demand"
#PokemonGO: So it felt like PokeStops give out less items now, although the people at the silphroad seem to disagree, at any rate items is now a problem regardless of whether items were nerfed or not.Issue 1: DemandBecause spawn timers were extended (and apparently more rural spawns added) we encounter more pokemon. This has caused an increase demand of items, as we use more.Because spwans aren't as crap any more, and there is more variety in pokemons you encounter, you are more likely to catch as you run into less pidgey/rattata/vermin. This has caused an increase demand of items, as we use more.Issue 2: SupplyBecause we can no longer spin stops on the bus, or as a passenger in a car, we now have a decreased supply of items. For some people, it is becoming winter, which is very cold/snowy. This means they are walking/biking less and are more likely to be indoors or in a vehicle. Since they walk less, they get less chance to spin pokestops, and thus have less supply of items. So we have increased demand, with decrease supply. Basic Supply v Demand tells us that THIS IS AN ISSUE.For these reasons, I strongly advocate for an increase in items from PokeStops, especially pokeballs. The daily 'quests' streak bonus simply isn't enough to cover the massive shortfall the other problems have caused. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2fsDCOE
