"If Gen 2 is really shipping next week, then Nearby tracker makes a lot of sense"
#PokemonGO: We still don’t know if Gen 2 is around the corner but maybe it is.Gen 2 added to the game would dilute spawns – from 143 to 238 (assuming no regional pokémon in there), a 40% change.By having common spawns appear near pokéstops, the pokédex completion will be easier – you will be able to select low tier pokémon like Sentret, Hoothoot or Ledyba and track them with reliability unknown to people not using 3rd party maps.Combine this with winter and the lack of desire to wander around looking for an elusive specimen on Sightings… (now I’m not saying Sightings isn’t useful, oranges and apples). So what currently is a boring sea of Rattatas, Pidgeys and Weedles might soon change into a very useful tool to get the new gen monsters. On another note, I also think the change removing unused pokémon models and the ball-of-light temporary model might have been done in preparation for Gen 2.Having so many pokémon permanently loaded might take too much space on people’s devices and that’s yet another reason to delete the game and stop playing. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2fNG9F7
