"Kabuto have started spawning at the rate of "common" pokemon in a medium-sized area in my city. Is this a nest, and should it be reported?"
#PokemonGO: So since the last migration occured, Kabutos have started spawning like crazy in an area near where I work. If I had to guess, that area is at least the size of a circle with a 500m radius- possibly even bigger. Prior to this, Kabuto were somewhat rare to find here (Level 30, Kabutops was one of the last Pokemon I needed to find to complete my dex), but now I'm finding them almost as often as pidgeys - but only in this small area. Here's what my tracker currently looks like for instance: http://ift.tt/2gQnHc9 area is not a park or anything, it's just a seemingly random part of the city that is mostly just streets, though there is also a small river and harbor, and even a park that at some point in the past was a nest. So this area doesn't really match my current understanding of a nest, but since a) Kabutos started appearing at the exact time that the migration occured, b) it seems to be only this area, and c) it's actually better than a normal nest for finding Kabutos (I've yet to not see one on my tracker), I'm wondering if it is in fact some kind of super-nest. I guess I'll find out for sure when the next migration occurs, but I suspect others would find it more useful if I reported it before then :) via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2h1LMQm
