"Unnecessary test of a random Ditto theory"

#PokemonGO: Ok, a while back I heard about the DS trick of photographing pokemon to see if they were a Ditto. I began testing it in pokemon go, and hard testing after ditto captures began trickling in after the Thankgiving event. Yesterday I was able to finally catch one in a pidgy. After catching it with a couple accounts(my kids) and taking pictures on all I can confirm the picture taking does not reveal weather a pokemon is disguised. The test field was sadly well over a 100 pokemon of various species since the actual release and a lot before. I did find the pidgy broke out of a red ball or 3 then ran and was usually captured easiest with an ultra ball and raspberry or two, following a red ball escape. The test capture ditto varied in size over the six accounts and was only capured after ultra ball or great balls and raspberry. Furthermore one was captured by my kid with a single red ball two days earlier. I personally was unable to catch one on my account after photo, but found it ran after 3 red balls. My friends said they caught it with raspberry and ultra balls. On my kids accounts the results were pretty similar, the exception was the great ball situation because that was all they had and one account of a multiple red ball capture with raspberry starter(but I knew which it was already). This concludes my report thank you for your time via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2h41me9
