"Custom rendering style for OsmAnd (highlights possible nests from OpenStreetMap)"

#PokemonGO: I've made a custom rendering style for OsmAnd (which is a free-ish mobile app that can download OpenStreetMap data for offline viewing). This rendering style highlights areas that tend to be nests in Pokémon GO (parks, common areas, etc.). Instructions for use are found in the file.Link to file on GitHubSample ImageSetting aside the debate about whether Niantic actually used/uses OpenStreetMap data directly, this map style can be useful for identifying areas you might like to check out in person (though of course highlighted areas aren't guaranteed to be nests). It also shows streams and power lines, which may explain some unexpected spawns in GO, and it highlights footways if that's something you're interested in.I'll revise the file as new information becomes available about which OSM land types tend to be more closely correlated with nests. Alternately, I've hopefully written the file to be modular enough that you can add or remove land types according to your own preferences.Feedback welcome! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2iTapLj
