"Is Niantic is trying to hand people a complete Gen 1 dex before Gen 2 drops?"

#PokemonGO: I really feel like Niantic is doing/has done everything they can to help people complete their Gen 1 dex. There has been: double candy, increased spawns, increased item drop rate from stops, double xp/stardust, consistent nest changes, increased starter spawns all within the past ~70 days. This has allowed players the opportunity to evolve/power up/catch/hatch anything they might have been missing. I know not everyone has completed their dex yet but short of texting you the coordinates for any missing mons, they have done everything else, right?I feel like they have done this because Gen 1 spawns are about to drop significantly when the full Gen 2 dex is launched.
