"Regional Specific Pokemon - Why?"
#PokemonGO: Honestly, why? What purpose does it serve for anyone that there are a few pokemon locked to specific regions? How does locking away a Mr. Mine for the rest of the world benefit the players or Niantic?Im honestly baffled why this was included in the first place. There are a lot of players trying to complete their pokedex but are blocked by the fact they have to travel to Asia to do so. Sure, it stops people filling in the pokedex too quickly, but there legendaries are still locked and we've only just recently received the ability to get ditto through blind luck.I sincerely hope they remove this, it is entirely pointless. It was a nice gimmick to start with as people like exclusivity, but its been months and months now...edit: so the consensus appears to be due to trading. If that is the main purpose of exclusive pokemon, what kind of headache would it be to meet other people from around the globe to come trade with you specifically? Unless a network / user2user trading system gets put in place, swapping exotic pokemon between people of different locations would be terrible for younger audiences.Only way i could imagine this to work well is the ability to trade and already traded pokemon. Imagine how bad this would get if you could only transfer a Mr. Mine or a Tauros once. So, when trading does get put in place, anyone outside of Europe willing to travel to the UK and meet me? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2joYXuj
