"Reminder: How to play hands free on Android without using PoGo+"
#PokemonGO: TL;DR: Using the Proximity Service app (or Blackr for some devices) from the Google play store, you can turn off the screen while keeping PoGo running in the foreground simply by covering the front facing camera e.g., putting phone in pocket. Saves time, hands, and battery life. The Google Play app Proximity Service turns off the screen without sleeping the phone. It will leave apps running in the foreground but keep the screen off when the forward facing camera is covered up, e.g., when your phone is in your pocket. It's the simplest app with no real interface except a notification at the top to turn it on and off.I just slip my phone in my pocket at any point during pokemon hunting, tracking distance, or encounters when I want to be hands free. I have been using this for months and have yet to experience a single issue with exiting from the app or misclicking. It should go without saying, but this is best when used in combo with the in-game battery saver mode.Note: Proximity Service reportedly doesn’t work for some AMOLED devices. Try Proximity Service first, but if it doesn’t there is an app called Blackr that should perform the same function. Instead of the ease of using the proximity sensor it's functional through an overlay button.I have seen comments from trainers buying a PoGo+ so they can play without having to hold their phones. PoGo+ isn’t the only option. I made a post a while back about a using this app, but the initial method I used involved another step. I just wanted to remind everyone about how it makes playing easier and more efficient.Note: In a comment on the initial post I made it was discovered that turning off the screen will keep the phone running PoGo at a significantly cooler temp via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jCSa1f
