"Story of the Double Silhouettes."
#PokemonGO: I've been keeping up with the hype of the newly released notes from the .53 update. Naturally I've been slacking with the collection of the same Pokémon over and over. I'm currently lvl 30 and the only thing I need is porygon, dragonite, and lapras to complete the dex. So tonight I went out to the city to collect items in preparation for any new releases that might come soon.I do a couple laps around a few parks and spin the stops. All of a sudden I see a black shadow on my nearby list. Quickly open up tab and see that it is indeed the infamous porygon. Track it down a few blocks and prepare my throwing arm. Send a single ultraball razzberry combo its way and miss the great throw but mange to get him in. It was about 250 cp with a bright green circle, so I didn't think it would take much to capture it. Curved ultra razz throw and he jumps out not even one bounce in the ball, it vanishes leaving me with a bad taste and a trail of smoke. At this point my bag is half full so I decide to spin a couple more stops and head home in defeat. Took the long way back to the car to catch some fresh air since I practically blew my only chance to get the rarest mon out there. Just when I think it couldn't get any worse the weather starts to sour and all of a sudden it's raining hard enough to the point of puddles deep enough to get your socks wet. Get in the car wet, tired, sad and I start the slow drive back to the house. In the process of driving slowly through the rain I see another silhouette on my nearby. This time it's big! My stomach turns and I feel super nervous just at the sight of another shadow. It's dragonite. My very first one out in the wild and first overall period. I manage to track it and it pops up on screen. My palms get sweaty and I go into shock. The porygon was bright green and I failed with less than 300 cp. This dragonite sits at about 2800 cp. The capture circle redder than the devil himself. On top of how red his circle is, it's incredibly far back, and pretty small. I captured a few golbats just before this so I kind of had a motion down to get the distance to get the dragonite. I throw my first ultra ball razzberry combo and he falls for it. Ball hits the ground and instantly jumps out snarling again. Throw a few more same thing. I switch to the straight toss for better accuracy and he does the same thing jumping out of a bounce. Occasionally reaching two bounces.I finally hit him with a great throw curveball and he finally gives in after using about 30 ultras and razzberry combos. New Pokémon registered to the dex. By far the craziest night of Pokémon I've ever had. He wasn't the strongest iv wise, yet he still managed to break into the top 5 of my mons.Thankfully I had saved up about 120 ultra balls 150 great balls and about 100 pokeballs. Moral of the story was don't give up. Times get rough but the rng gods still look out for you. Save the ultraballs!! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jEgFLo
