"Triple Dex: My Prestige Prayers Answered!"
#PokemonGO: Big h/t to Nick from Trainer Tips for doing the research and finding a site that gives me exactly what I'm looking for.For anyone who hasn't seen his latest episode, it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZSslk8nwmAHe references a site called Triple Dex -- and there's a lot of information that's not entirely necessary on it, but it has two big pieces of information: (1) What Pokemon, in order, will deal the most damage to the Pokemon selected (2) Which Pokemon, in order, will receive the most damage from the Pokemon selectedAs examples, I chose Exeggutor and Lapras. For Exeggutor, it showed it's biggest weakness is Scyther (FC/BB), followed by Pinsir (FC/XC). I skip ones like Gengar who have weaknesses to its quick attacks to continue down the list.Same with Lapras. I'm able to navigate the list and judge based on weaknesses -- Alakazam with neutral, Dragonite with double weakness, Jolteon with neutral...etc. You get far enough down and you find something that resists Lapras while doing neutral damage (which is what I'm looking for): Arcanine (B/FB). It also shows that Flareon is one of the Pokemon that will take the last DPS from Lapras, which is one of the reasons I use it so often. This helps to confirm some of what I'd already thought, but it also gives me more reason to start using Pinsir and Jolteon more often. For anyone who wants to check it out, you can find it at tripledex.comI can now easily see the best counters for specific Pokemon ranked in order and also determine what Pokemon I have will counter specific Pokemon especially well. Both these things will allow me to more effectively battle and prestige gyms going forward.TL;DR - This site can help identify the best Pokemon to use when taking down a gym. It'll give you them in ranked order. It's got some very obvious limitations, but I wanted to see what people thought here about this concept. Thoughts? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2iR7OWm
