"Better use of Nanab berry: use it only before first throw on trash easy-to-catch pokemon"
#PokemonGO: I don't know whether this has been discussed elsewhere before. Many of you may think that Nanab berry is the most useless item. But when used in a correct way, you can be benefited a lot from the extra XP gained. The way is to use nanab berry only before your first throw on trash pokemon. Nanab berry reduces the frequency of pokemon movement. As a result, you have higher chance to hit the target on your first throw, meaning a higher chance to get the first throw XP bonus. With the pokemon staying still, you also get a higher chance to hit great/excellent throw, getting a catch rate bonus and further XP bonus. Some pokemon will break out of the ball, then there will be not much benefit if you use it again on the same pokemon, since you have lost the first throw bonus anyway. So I also suggest to use Nanab preferably when the trash pokemon is easy to catch (green to yellowish green circle). But what if the pokemon keeps moving after breaking out of the ball once? Then you probably get some poor RNG, and you will finally hit the target again without the Nanab berry.TL;DR Read the title. You will get more XP on average with this way of using the Nanab berry. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2ll93Ll
