#PokemonGO: Farfetch'd In the Pokemon anime TV show, the PokeDex entry for Farfetch’d reads “Farfetch’d makes a delicious meal, especially when cooked with leek. Because of this, Farfetch’d is nearly extinct.” This whole Pokemon’s identity is that it is destined to be cooked and eaten like a Peking Duck. It's literally carrying green onions in its beak for extra flavor. Lol.Exeggutor - It appears to be based on a coconut tree and possibly the Japanese yokai (yokai is 'demon' in Japanese) Jinmenju, a tree that grows human heads (that are always smiling). Photo of Jinmenju: http://ift.tt/2l01Hg7 Theory explains it better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5W72Go6g5EDitto - It’s widely believed that Ditto is the result of a failed cloning attempt of the legendary Pokemon Mew. The logic behind the theory comes from the two creatures sharing the same base stats and weight, as well as using a similar color palette both in shiny and non-shiny forms. The two Pokemon both have access to Transform at level 1 and are the only two creatures to learn the move naturally. Ditto can also only be found (at least in the first generation games) in the Pokemon Mansion where Mewtwo was successfully cloned, or in Cerulean Cave where the clone can be fought and captured.Rhydon - Rhydon was the first Pokemon that was ever created by Game Freak (Original Game's developer). This was revealed in an interview with Ken Sugimori, one of the original designers for the first generation of Pokemon titles. Despite its early creation, Rhydon is placed at 112 in the Pokedex.Abra - In the wild, whenever you come across an Abra it always teleports away, that being the only move it knows. This is because Abra is the only kind of wild Pokemon that recognizes that you, a trainer, are trying to cram it into that pokeball. Alakazam has an IQ of 5000, so Abra is most likely also extremely intelligent. They are very distrustful, or scared, of humans. After being caught, all it tries to do is teleport away, back to safety. When it keeps being thrust into battle and gains enough experience, it acknowledges that it will have no choice but to fight. This is when it evolves into Kadabra. Eventually, like most Pokemon, Kadabra will start to trust it's trainer, and fight for him/her happily.Kadabra - Pokedex entry from Pokémon Emerald: It is rumored that a boy with psychic abilities suddenly transformed into Kadabra while he was assisting research into extrasensory powers.Gengar - Theory: Gengar is the 'shadow' of Clefable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKssV6_QsSsClefairy - They are from the moon. The star-shaped Cleffa are said to have come to earth on meteorites. Wherever a meteorite lands, there is always a Cleffa near. In Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Cleffa and their evolved forms, Clefairy and Clefable, dance in a ring on Monday nights, nights with a full moon, and on nights when meteor showers occur. Clefairy and its evolutionary relatives tend to make their habitat at impact sites, and Clefairy evolves into Clefable from a Moon Stone, further evidence that they are extraterrestrial in origin.Staryu and Starmie - said to be extraterrestrials because of their star-shape and their seven colored core, which emits radio signals into space at night. Staryu behave similarly, gathering at night and flashing their red cores to communicate with the stars. They are also known to have amazing regenerative abilities.Staryu POKÉMON SAPPHIRE ENTRY: STARYU apparently communicates with the stars in the night sky by flashing the red core at the center of its body. If parts of its body are torn, this POKéMON simply regenerates the missing pieces and limbs.Starmie POKÉMON CRYSTAL ENTRY: It is said that it uses the seven-colored core of its body to send electric waves into outer spacePokemon and humans used to get MARRIED - In the Japanese version of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum it straight up says humans and Pokemon used to get married all the time. In Pokémon Colosseum there is a woman who straight up says that her life-long boyfriend is her Mightyena. In Pokemon Special, there's the "A Shocking Case of Poke-Love: 'That's the last time I'll ever take a bath with my Tentacool'" article in a newspaper during the RBG arc. In one episode of the Best Wishes anime, it's shown in a fantasy a man and a Gothitelle getting married.Book entry from the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games:There once were Pokémon that became very close to humans. There once were humans and Pokémon that ate together at the same table. It was a time when there existed no differences to distinguish the two.Pokemon are more than just cartoon animals you catch, collect, and use to fight with. They all have their own stories and origins. It makes catching these monsters a lot more interesting. Next time you catch a Clefairy, know that it came from the moon...or from Niantic's servers. Note: This list was compiled from a variety of sources. I compiled them together so you won't have to go searching for all of them. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2kOCIf5
