"[Idea] PoGo should store GPX information for rural cities / hiking areas where 3G service is not present to count toward eggs and buddy candy."

#PokemonGO: As a hiker, I would sincerely appreciate distance to be tracked on eggs and for buddy candies when I don't have cell reception. This would not only fulfill their mission of getting people out exploring, but it would also be much more rewarding than walking the same city streets. I have also been to a few cities without 3G service. I'm definitely no game developer, but I DO know that my phone has no problem storing a gpx log of my distance and speed without internet connectivity. I imagine the app could translate this information once internet connectivity is regained. I imagine it is possible? To save the phone's battery, this is a mode that could be initiated or could automatically engage when the phone is in airplane mode. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2ktBAAZ
